The Snowy Forest made up of small oak trees with Dying Tree Leaves and lots of snow.
Description[]
The terrain consists of small hills and shallow water pools, many frozen over.
Vegetation[]
Dying Oaks covered in snow make up the forest, with little other vegetation. Violets provide spots of colour, and Sugar Cane may spawn beside ponds.
Mobs & NPCs[]
Common passive mobs will spawn in this biome.
Survival[]
There is plenty of wood as well as passive mobs for food. Farming will be more difficult as water will freeze if open to the sky.
History[]
When this biome was added, it was formerly called the Frost Forest, and had a white sky color and had bluish-white colored leaves and grass. In 1.8.9, It was renamed to Snowy Forest, the sky color was removed and the leaves' color and grass color was changed to brown.
