The Fungi Forest is a forest biome made of dirt, grass, stone, and mycellium blocks. It was redesigned various times before being removed in the conversion to Minecraft 1.8. In 1.11.2, the Nether variant of the biome replaced this biome.
Description[]
The Fungi Forest biome is very wet and damp with some dirt blocks spawning with a thin film of water on top, when broken they revert to dirt even with silk touch. The water is a very dark green, the same color as the grass, and the sky is a teal color. Tall oddly shaped oak trees and giant red and brown mushrooms also occur here much like they do on a Mushroom Isle. Plant life consists of all the mushrooms found in other biomes as well as short, medium, and tall grass. One can also find Mooshrooms in this biome.
Survival in the biome is easy with the readily available source of wood, beef, and mushrooms. However, mobs are able to find many hiding spots under the trees and mushrooms come day time so one should be on their guard or build fences around a cleared out area.
