This page describes the variations of dirt added by the Biomes O' Plenty mod. To learn more about dirt in general please see Minecraft Wiki: Dirt.

Biomes O' Plenty adds three new variations of Dirt, known as Loamy Dirt, Sandy Dirt, and Silty Dirt.

Obtaining[]

Just like normal dirt, it can be mined and obtained with any tool, but a shovel is fastest.

Natural Generation[]

Biomes O' Plenty's dirt variations replace several parts of the surface that would usually be covered with regular dirt depending on the biome.

Loamy Dirt[]

Loamy dirt is mostly found in wet biomes, such as swamps, and the Fen biome.

Sandy Dirt[]

Sandy dirt is found mostly in dry and hot biomes such as the Xeric shrubland.

Silty Dirt[]

Silty dirt can be found in temperate biomes such as in the Cherry blossom grove or Lavender Fields.

Usage[]

All dirt variations and their derivatives can be used in the same way, they only differ in appearance. They can be used as farmland, to grow saplings, sugarcane, mushrooms, etc. and behaves just like how dirt does in the base game.
