Tanzanite

This feature used to be in the mod but has since been removed.

Tanzanite is a biome-specific Gemstone introduced with Biomes O'Plenty. It appears as an ore, an item, and a decorative block.

Generation[]

Although Tanzanite can be found in snowy biomes, it is not found in Alps. A current list of these biomes can be found under Tanzanite Biomes.

Obtaining[]

An Iron Pickaxe or better is required to mine Tanzanite Ore. A Silk Touch Pickaxe can be used to collect the block of ore rather than the Tanzanite drop. The ore drops one gem with an unenchanted pickaxe. With fortune, the ore can drop up to four gems, one extra per level of fortune. Tanzanite Ore cannot be smelted.

Use[]

9 Tanzanite can be crafted into a Block of Tanzanite for storage or decoration. These stack to 64.
